Instant insights, lasting change.
“This experience with Erin was one of the highlights of my life. For the first time in my life, someone has summarized for me who I am, what I wear, how I look, how I come across, who I am in the world and who I hope to be, and synthesized a whimsical name of my personal style and a description of Who I Am. ”
“I am profoundly grateful for your kindness and honesty and visual aesthetic. Now I can feel more confident when I go out into the world.”
“Thank you so much for our time together yesterday! When I woke up this morning and looked into my closet I loved having clarity about what looks good on me and what garments work for which occasions.”
“Erin’s ultimate goal is to keep the client
in their happy zone.”
“…I am thrilled also because someone—Erin—recognized things I had always hoped could be true. It’s so easy to live day to day, month to month and year to year and forget that things may actually be coming together! What a wonderful gift this is. It is actually priceless. Thank you for thinking of this creative service for humankind / womankind and for taking the time and energy to put it together and to share it with me.”
Meeting her has saved me not only money (by narrowing my choices and decreasing chances of on-the-whim purchases) but she has also saved me time. I know what to look for and what to immediately reject, because in the long run certain things will bring me happiness and certain things will just waste space and energy in my closet.
“Erin’s ultimate goal is to keep the client in their happy zone and not change them, but zoom in on what exactly brings them joy and how to continue to bring more of it in their busy lives. I highly recommend Erin as a wardrobe therapist.”
“I have had meetings with stylists and wardrobe specialists in the past, but this was different. Erin gave me “homework” the night before to prepare for our meeting. She had me choose items throughout the house that I loved, such as pictures, knick-knacks, jewelry, poetry, whatever peaked my interest. We went through the items together and Erin went through my home, getting a real sense of who I was and who I wanted to be.”
“I booked Erin for The Happy Wardrobe method due to a desperate need for self-care.”
“I’d been battling life on so many fronts – working to keep a roof over my daughter’s head, recover from an emotionally abusive relationship, shame, guilt, low self-worth. I was working two jobs, caring for a critically ill child and struggling on a daily basis to keep my head above water. I thought Erin and I would be going through my wardrobe, seeing all the clothes that no longer fit due to comfort eating. I thought she’d judge me for the mess my clothes were in – my walk in closet was barely accessible, with piles on the floor of my clothes mingled with my daughter’s, laundry, bedding and towels.
I was wrong. We simply sat down with things that made me happy. As we talked about them, I remembered the confident, creative woman I’d been. Erin noted themes and gently explained how fear and poverty had led me to think I was less than I was. She reminded me how beautiful, powerful, strong, fierce, hardworking, determined and passionate I am. I’m a lioness defending her young. I’m a fighter. I was a victim of abuse but I survived. I’m a descendent of pioneers who founded this country – nothing can stop me from achieving what I want and healing along the way.
We did get to my clothes – but the symptoms needed to be addressed first. I know what to wear now. I’m rocking it and I’m rocking life.”
“Who doesn’t need help with their wardrobe? What I got was not what I expected. It was so much more!
We began with what “things” in my home make me happy, from coasters, to candles to calendars. It was so much fun, going around the house with that in mind. We ended with the wardrobe and I only picked out the clothing, accessories or shoes that made me happy. Amazing how I could immediately point to those items which made me wonder what all those OTHER things were doing in my closet! She helped “name” where I was going with colors for living and clothing. As a result, my remodeled home reflects what I came to understand what I needed at our first meeting!
As you can tell, as I am transitioning to the “new me” in the last third of my life, Erin’s help was invaluable!
